Christ-Like --- Serving Others (Update: 8/18/09) This is our service project theme for the 2009 / 2010 school year.  We will have a variety of school-wide service projects throughout this school year. One Eighth Grade student will serve as the Project Leader of each project and be responsible for its implementation. School Supplies for needy children: Project Leader: Emily Musgrove Emily explained her project on Wednesday, August 5, 2009 at our morning announcements. She has asked each class from Preschool - Grade 8 to bring school supplies to fill a book bag. Each class was given a new book bag to fill. (project begins 8/5/09 - ends 8/14/09) 8/18/09 - update: 10 book bags were filled by classes at Holy Family School! Thanks to all who donated items! Food Drive for the Holy Family Church's food pantry. (begins 7/29/09 - ends  8/14/09) 8/18/09 - update: 1,170 items donated to our church's food pantry. This is a record breaking number of items. Thank you to all who donated. Project Leader: Omar Torres We are asking that students bring canned food or boxed food to the gym each morning beginning on Wednesday, July 29, 2009. Each class will receive one paper chain link for each item doanted. It is our hope that when all of the links are joined together our chain will circle the first floor hallway. Our school goal is 1,000 items collected.
